    Introducing Clubby Explore

    Club Restaurant explore is the latest release from Club Restaurant. Explore helps you find the perfect restaurant.

    Looking for Sushi restaurants in Sandton? How about restaurants with a fireplace in Cape Town’s City Bowl? Or perhaps you’re looking for a romantic restaurant, with a great view? Interested in a certain price range? Wanna broaden your search to include steak restaurants? No problem.

    Club Restaurant’s new explore feature lets you whittle down a list of restaurants in real time, store a list of the ones you like, then book at your favourite.

    With Explore you can:

    • Search for a combination of areas, cuisines, dining styles, facilities and price ranges.
    • Add restaurants to a shortlist as you search. You can keep exploring, but conveniently store a shortlist of the places you like as you go.
    • Choose your favorite and then book quickly and easily.

    Welcome to Club Restaurant version 0.1

    Today we did our first major release. For people who have seen the site before, you might notice that we’ve actually taken away quite a lot of the functionality. The reason for this is simple. Club Restaurant is about bookings. And in order to create the best booking experience for you, the user, we decided that we needed to focus on just that aspect at this stage - we’ll be constantly tweaking and improving as we go along.

    What’s in this release:

    Bookings - easy, free, reliable. These are some realistic concerns that many users have when placing a booking online. Here is how we have tried to address these issues:

    Easy

    We streamlined our booking process to make it as easy as possible for you to make your booking. Many services require you to jump through all sorts of hoops to make a booking. We don’t think that helps anyone. So we made the initial booking process really basic.

    • No signup required!
    • Just enter in the information that is needed to make a booking. That’s it! 
    • The whole booking process is contained in a single form on a single page.

    Free

    Some people have been concerned that we might charge our users to use our service. We won’t. It’s that simple.

    Reliable

    For booking online to be the please that we want it to be, it’s critical that we provide a reliable service. We have a system in place that helps us to provide you with the most reliable service possible. We provide:

    • Auto-confirmations where possible - and fast turn-around times where auto-confirmation is not possible
    • Detailed tracking of everything that happens with your booking. With us you have a reliable source of confirmation of your booking.

    We also provide you with some value add tools to help you make the most your dining out experience:

    • On confirmation we will send you a whole bunch of useful information such as maps, tips from other diners, and the menu’s for the restaurant.
    • We also provide tools to make it easy to share this information with your fellow diners.
    • The booking page itself acts as a master source where you can always check on the status of your booking, view and changes that have been made, and use the comment box to organize the event with your friends. 

    This is our first major release, and we’re pretty excited about what it means. We’re moving quickly here at Club Restaurant, so expect to see more of these updates over the next few weeks!
